QC Cam Watch is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe you should be able to use a camera alert app without sacrificing your personal data. This policy explains exactly what data the app does and does not access.

Data We Access
The app requires access to certain device capabilities to function. Here is exactly what is accessed and how it is used:

GPS Location
Used to determine your proximity to camera locations and provide alerts. Your location is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server, stored, logged, or transmitted in any form.

Direction of Travel
Used to determine your direction of travel so alerts only fire when you are heading toward a camera. Derived from GPS movement, not the compass. Processed entirely on your device.

Notifications
Used to deliver camera alerts when the app is active. Notification content is generated locally on your device — no push notification server is involved.
Data We Do NOT Collect

No Personal Information
No names, emails, phone numbers, or account information is collected. There are no user accounts.

No Location History
Your location is not recorded, stored, or tracked over time. It is used only in real-time to calculate proximity to cameras.

No Analytics or Tracking
No analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or usage tracking tools are included in the app.

No Third-Party Data Sharing
No data of any kind is shared with third parties. There are no ads, no data brokers, and no monetization of user data.
Network Communication
The only network request the app makes is to download camera location data from our server. This request:

Camera Data Download
Downloads the latest camera locations and schedules from our API. This is a one-way download — no user data, device identifiers, location data, or any personal information is sent to the server. The request is made over HTTPS.
Purchases & Subscriptions
QC Cam Watch offers an optional subscription to unlock real-time camera alerts. All purchases and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.

Purchases & Subscriptions
We do not collect, process, or store any payment information, credit card details, or billing information. Apple may share with us only whether an active subscription exists for the purpose of unlocking app features. No personally identifiable information is shared with us as part of this process. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
On-Device Storage
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device using standard iOS preferences. This includes your alert settings (radius, alert mode, enabled camera types) and whether you have accepted the disclaimer. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Children's Privacy
QC Cam Watch is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Since the app collects no user data, changes to this policy are unlikely. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
